ABOUT THE COURSE:
Founded in 1895, Onwentsia Club is one of the most storied private clubs in the United States. Nestled among the rolling estates of Lake Forest on Chicago's North Shore, the club's championship golf course is a timeless testament to the golden era of American golf course design.
The course stretches across beautifully contoured terrain, weaving through mature hardwoods and manicured parkland that has been thoughtfully preserved for over a century. Its classic layout rewards strategic play and course management, with subtly bunkered greens, undulating fairways, and a natural rhythm that reflects the finest traditions of the game.
Onwentsia has hosted numerous prestigious amateur and regional championships throughout its history, and its course continues to challenge and delight golfers of every level. The club's commitment to maintaining the integrity of its original design makes it among the most authentic and respected venues in the Midwest.
THANK YOU TO OUR 2026 HOST COMMITTEE
HOMES OF HOPE:
Often, the best chance of a successful outcome for a patient with pancreatic cancer is to travel to a hospital far from home. Travel costs add up quickly, especially when patients consider lodging, transportation, and food. Patients who need housing for extended cancer treatments may need to spend several hundred to several thousand dollars, depending on their length of stay.
Homes of Hope aims to ease the financial burden of housing, provide better access to the nation’s top cancer hospitals, and provide a “home away from home” to families during their most difficult days.
