Paul Reaumond

Vice Chairman, CBRE

Why I fight?

“Going in one more round when you don’t think you can, that’s what makes all the difference in your life.”

When my Dad was first diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he wouldn’t admit it, but for the first time in his life, he was scared.  As time went on and he came to terms with his diagnosis and his entire mindset shifted from victim to fighter.  During his 12 rounds of Folfirinox, the most powerful chemotherapy available, three surgeries and continued treatment plan, he got up every day and swam, biked, or walked to keep up his fitness and stamina to keep taking the treatment even when doctors told him to stop.  In the lowest moments, he would tell me…I must keep going, I must keep fighting to inspire others, and when I am past this, I will inspire others to fight harder than they ever could have imagined.

His legacy and determination continues to drive his family to keep up the fight with The Reaumond Foundation.
