Why I fight?
The call from my best friend still echoes in my mind—her voice trembling as she told me her mom had lost her battle with cancer. At that moment, 3,000 miles away, I felt completely powerless, unable to do anything but listen as she navigated her grief. That feeling of helplessness stayed with me, and I promised myself that if I ever had the chance, I would do more than just stand by. When my coach told me about this charity boxing event, I was still recovering from a previous fight, but I didn’t hesitate for a second.
This isn’t just about me—it’s about doing my part to help others who are fighting battles that are beyond their control. I may not have been able to help back then, but if stepping into the ring can make a difference for someone else, I’ll fight with everything I’ve got. This fight is personal, and I’m not backing down.
